In this age of franchises and sequels one could easily take the six TOS films for granted, but they are what many consider to be Star Trek at its best. In this episode of Standard Orbit, friend of the network Tony Black joins Zach to discuss their shared love of the TOS film era.

Releasing six films over twelve years is no easy feat, which is even more impressive when you consider there was no franchise road map or master plan. This singular focus of storytelling lead to a wide variety of films unmatched by any other franchise, and we celebrate that while part of a greater whole, each story stands alone as a unique, satisfying and self contained experience.
