Recurring character Lieutenant Joe Carey may have met an untimely demise in the seventh-season Voyager episode "Friendship One," just missing the ride back home to the Alpha Quadrant in "Endgame." But the mild-mannered Starfleet engineer, with hair ever-so-slightly reminiscent of Chief O'Brien's, made a big impression on Voyager fans, despite appearing in relatively few episodes of Voyager.

In this episode of To The Journey, hosts Kay Shaw, Suzanne Williamson, and Zachary Fruhling go hunting for poisoned apples and accept a friendly lunch invitation for a character analysis of fan-favorite recurring character, Lieutenant Joe Carey (after being exonerated from giving Federation technology to the Kazon, of course).
